A Robust Web-Based System Replacement
We designed the new system to align seamlessly with JEM's business processes while enhancing their existing system. Our platform is robust and durable, capable of handling events such as power outages. The modern, intuitive design reduces the need for user training. With this system, JEM now has a reliable platform that supports their ISO commitment.
Widely Supported and Easily Updated
To prevent future obsolescence, we built the platform with forward-thinking development in mind. The system is extendable and programmed in widely supported languages and frameworks, ensuring it remains current and easily updated. Future development teams will find it simple to adapt the system to new technologies, ensuring long-term compatibility and functionality.
Complete Data Transfer
Transferring data from one system to another can be a long and arduous task. To ease this burden for JEM, we managed the data migration during the development of the new system. Our team seamlessly transferred all valuable data from MedOP, including details on products, customers, care homes, and doctors, to the new platform.
Professional and Intuitive Design
The user interface was crafted to be intuitive and user-friendly, eliminating the need for extensive training. The system guides and supports new users, presenting information logically and intelligently. This design allows for easy operation and significantly reduces manual tasks, such as repetitive data entry, enhancing JEM's time efficiency.
Quick Follow-Up on Prescriptions
We integrated phone, email, and fax chasers into the system, allowing admins to automatically follow up on prescriptions needed to release products. We selected a secure, suitable third-party fax service that meets the project's requirements. Additionally, we collaborated with JEM's IT team to ensure the correct security policies were in place for the integration.
A Range of Capabilities to Enhance Functionality
To ensure effective operation, we enabled several key features in the system. Admins can upload CSV files to update stock levels and generate predefined reports, exporting them as CSV spreadsheets. The system allows easy access to data, enabling users to search for doctors using various filters and add doctors to practices to keep the information current. Users can view, edit, and add details for care homes and nurses, assigning them to each other as needed. The system also includes search functions for referrers, suppliers, and manufacturers.
View and Edit Customer Details
To ensure the system remains dynamic, we created user-friendly pathways for admins to view and edit customer details effortlessly, including historical orders. This functionality keeps the system updated without causing stress, making it significantly easier for staff to work with and maintain.
The Technology Stack
To build the system, we utilised a robust technology stack, including React, Yii2 PHP, and a MySQL database. React, a popular JavaScript library, enabled us to create a dynamic and responsive user interface. Its component-based architecture ensures adaptability and ease of maintenance, while the virtual DOM enhances performance for a smooth user experience. Yii2 PHP provided a secure and efficient foundation, with its modular design and built-in tools facilitating rapid development and ongoing maintenance.

Our system features a MySQL relational database structured to support robust data integrity and security. Combined with a JSON RESTful API, this setup ensures efficient and secure data transfer, enabling seamless integration with other services and future technological advancements.
